I am fixing an old arts & crafts dresser that is in pretty good shape except all of the half-blind dovetail joints have come apart. The pins and tails have separated quite a bit, I assume from shrinkage (attached photo, hopefully). I’ve not doen this before and couldn’t find a good reference. Is there something is shoudl use to fill the gaps, or a special way of gluing that will make solid joints? I was planning to use liquid hide glue, unless there’s a reason not to. Thanks.

I had the pleasure of restoring some old dresser drawers in similar condition. some worse. Where all the parts were there I gently seperated the joint ,cleaned up the joint ( removed the old glue) , used a good cabinet glue clamped it let it dry. I am not one to say I wanted to preserve the patina and so when all was dry I sanded the joints .The project turned out very nice. Where the parts were missing I planed down some oak and made matching parts the owner was never more pleased. Take your time I think you will surprize your self.
