This is from the FAQ found on the site...
How do I save downloaded articles and videos?
Video files are streamed and cannot be saved to your computer; they will be available indefinitely on the FineWoodworking.com. You can save archive articles to your computer by opening them in Adobe Reader and choosing the "save" function.
What are the system requirements for viewing videos?
To view streaming video on FineWoodworking.com you must have Flash v7 installed on your computer. It is available as a free download here.
How can I replay a video?
To replay a video, simply click your browser s refresh button, then click "play" on the video player.
So it appears you can only watch online.
i thought that might be the case Rick, thanks for your reply - i was hopeing that maybe the flash file got downloaded and was stored in some temporary location - i will have to wait until i can get broadband at home!Sean
Not to be incredibly dense, but where would I find the FAQs on this site?
http://www.taunton.com/finewoodworking/
At the bottom of the home page. I suspect many folks don't really check out most websites very thoroughly. There's a lot of other stuff to find here. The forums are just a small part of it.

Check out the weblinks as well.
I really think the http://www.woodcentral.com is a better put together and organized site. There's only about 20 other woodworking sites in cyber space at the moment. If you can't find an answer on one forum chances are the answer is on another and it's just a matter of time. Someone probably asked the question a month ago so it's buried a bit. Personally I think there are few new questions, just new people asking old questions.
