wood filler to exact match a wood. I know about using
sawdust and glue but don’t know the proportions of
glue to sawdust to water to ????. got any ideas?

The best one I've found is to make the piece again :-(

I don't know how many people in this forum will agree with me, but I place just enough glue into the space, wipe the excess glue off, and add sawdust (from my sander) into the glue. I leave an excess of sawdust on it, and sand the piece. It usually comes out fine. Good Luck.
