Happy Friday to all,
My main questions/comments are:
1. Is there a way to print messages, threads, or parts of threads? I tried and got greek, I pasted into word to print, but there should be a better way.
2. Put printable instructions, FAQs, “tip of the day” for using the new site somewhere for all to find (perhaps even with an index).
3. Include directions for various ways to attach pictures, put it where we can find and print it.
Comments made by others that I repeat because I agree with:
3. Keep the folders in same order in the list at left.
4. Start a new folder for fourm instructions, FAQs,questions, etc. This info should be the same and shared for all the Taunton forums. I have not spent much time at the other sites looking for this info.
5. How are messages marked as having been read? Is it only if you have take time to rate/prioritize them?
6. Have option to keep original post or original title line in view, while reading the rest.
Thanks,

Tom,
Many of us are a little frustrated with the lack of a "Help" or "FAQ" link. I'd suggestion going to the Sandbox section (via the "My Forums" link) to look for answers to many of your questions. With regard to pictures, you can attach a pic by clicking on "Attach Files" in the Reply window.
If you want to include the pictures in your post, so that they show up as part of the post, first click on Source at the bottom of the composition window, and then start composing your answer. Write the html in for your link wherever you want it to be.
With regard to printing, I've been highlighting the part I want to print, and the select "Selection" from the dialog box that shows up when I select File-Print (Win 95/98)
There's another trick I'll try now, and get back to you if it works.
My Other Trick: (I only know 2!) -- When you find a discussion you want to print, place your mouse over the title of the discussion (in the left-hand frame), right click it, and select Open in New Window. You will get a new window with the discussion, but no other frames -- ahhhh :-) You can print from that window.
I find that "Open in New Window" is a very helpful friend in this Prospero environment. I also use it when I reply to a post -- it keeps the entire discussion in the original window, and my composition window is the new window.

Hmmm, just found another possibility. If you only need to print one post (in an ongoing discussion), look for the "Options" link at the end of the post. When you hover over the word Options, a drop-down list will appear, and you can select "Print this Post" (or something to that effect).
