Please forgive a silly question, but in looking around I can’t fine any reference for how to embed links, change to bold type, change colors, etc. I have used other bulletin board software on other forums for years but this Prospero BBS is unlike anything else I have ever seen.
Thanks – John

Hi, John. There really isn't an FAQ or instructions that I know of. The main thing is, to access many features, you need to (a) use Internet Explorer and (b) be sure you're in Advanced View. Browse down to the bottom of the right-hand pain (sorry, pane) to see what view you're in. If there's an offer to "simplify" things and go to Basic View, just leave it alone. If there's an offer to change to Advanced View, do it!
Once you're in Advanced, features show up, you just need to be adventurous. Click on drop-down box arrows, see what happens. As far as spiffing up text goes, if you're using IE, the text composition box you're typing in has all the glorious formatting icons right at the top, including a "link" icon (globe with a chain-link superimposed).
If you're using an alternate browser, I'm not sure what you do to get formatting. Probably use HTML by clicking Source underneath the composition box, and then formatting <b> </b> like that, but I don't know for sure.

Thanks - it sounds like the usual forum tags work here as well. I use Firefox so perhaps the BBS application programmers have tuned the software for the IE unique HTML code.
