thanks everybody with your help I found what I was looking for it is called a “Amish acorn bench” now all I need is a plan source. Here in Midland this morning it is -8F degrees and would freeze the *&&^%$^&& off a brass monkey.  Oh well I’m leaving for a holiday in McAllen Texas on the 20th. A well needed break.
