Foundations of Woodworking Class – January
I’m interested in signing up for the Foundations of Woodworking class, to be held in January. I’m wondering what tools I will need for that, I’m a new woodworker.

It's an online class, so in theory no tools are needed to take the class. The course material covers a pretty wide range. Being able to practice what is taught is the real issue. If you pick any single technique, ie: mortise and tenon, and search for articles on the FW website you'll see the tool kit used by each author for that technique. Preferences vary, but there are a lot of overlapping tools that might be a good starting point towards gathering a kit.
Most of the course is overviews of various ways of going about joinery, so if you have a limited toolset this might help you decide what is really the next purchase.
That said, a tablesaw (with dado stack) router and basic hand tools would cover the vast majority of what is being used by Mike.
Paid for the course...months ago. Unable to log into site due to password reset issues. Told to wait for course to start. Today received the link to the class via my email. tried to login...same problem. Tried to reset password the link was never sent claiming my email may be in valid! They sent me the link to log in!! Is anyone else having this problem with the Foundations for Woodworking class?
Send me an email at [email protected]
I just sent you a password reset email.

lol. There was a spam message there earlier today, to which I responded. I also sent some forum feedback about hoping to find ways to notify the moderators about spam, etc., noting the message. And now it’s “mysteriously” gone! Yay!
And so I’ll now delete my “Please go away.” I certainly didn’t mean for it to be seen as directed toward Ben. And if I’ve caused him annoyance or anything unpleasant, I apologize.
Same thing happened tome yesterday.
Haaaaaaaaaa... let's take a vote on Ben.
I'm not sure what happened here, but I'm pretty sure it's best that way! Most of you are ok in my book too!

I find Ben pleasant enough that he should be allowed to stay.
I've wrestled with it for a while. I guess I'm OK with Ben staying too.
