I’m looking to purchase a new clipped head air nailer. I’m looking for something that is rugged and will not have problems with engineered lumber. I understand that the Max nailers are capable of driving paslode and senco nails and this is attractive to me as well. Any other suggestions?

Bostitch N88RH it has 1000 in/lbs of driving force. I also suggest you use FULL HEAD round nails, many jobs are requiring full round head nails for their specs. Check out bostitch web site. Good luck

I do prefer the round head nails but my employers use only clipped head furthermore in vt building code is only enforced in Burlington - can you imagine that? I'm originally from nj and there they count the nails you use per each stud.
