do you know anything about this software? For example is it easy to use, or is it good for designing furniture. I don't know much about CAD, but I was looking for something that is inexpensive but yet a quality product to learn on.
Thanks for the great tip.
Sorry, I don't. I only know what they boast on their web site. I figure it's worth a shot.I've tried DesignCad and TurboCad, both by IMSI - I hate them both. Quite hard to use.I got a nice demo of Machinist Deskdop (AutoCad). It was quite nice. However, unless you can get an ebay bargain, it's prety expensive...I too am looking for a sensible cad program - unfortunately, they appear more complicated that Photoshop!Mark

have just downloaded emachineshop software looks pretty good so far, I was having trouble with Turbocad also and needed a softer way to learn CAD. I found emachineshop looking for QCAD, might be same company, all the best.

Looks like it's done. 108194 and a LOT more information available for the platform now. Screenshots, and more user reviews. Name is Alibre Design Xpress.
Look at the link at the top.
Guess we'll see soon what the learning curve is :)
