If you remove the blade and drive belt, you can spin the wheels by hand. When they come to a stop, mark the bottom. Try it again to see if the mark still lands at the bottom. This is the heavy end, place your weight directly opposite. When you have the balance correct, the wheel will stop in random positions each time. We use the same method for balancing motorcycle wheels out in the bush. It's a little unusual for a bandsaw wheel to be out of balance.
Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
Thanks for the info Hammer 1, But I went through that procedure and still wasn't satisfied with the results. Did the fan balance thing on a whim. I retired from a Power House and we used to balance 6' fans (probably 3+ tons) that way, We did have meters for the job to show where to add the weights to take out the guess work.Work Safe, Count to 10 when your done for the day !!
