Hey guys-
Anyone care to recommend a brand and source for a fretsaw? Primary use will be cutting the bulk of the waste from dovetails. Hegner seems to make a good one, from the pix, but didn’t see any US distributor. The others I found in the usual spots seemed a bit chintzy, although they might be fine. Any help would be appreciated. I hate to buy things twice. Thanks.

Hi S4S,
Eclipse (UK) are a good brand. I've got a couple here if you get no joy locally - Rob Lee should carry them (www. leevalley.com). I've never had any problems with his customer service.
Cheers,
Eddie
ps: Link here to the brand they carry
Thanks, Eddie. Here is a link to Highland Hardware. Do you think this might be the Eclipse? I note that HH does carry the Eclipse blades, so thought this might be an Eclipse fretsaw.

The photo looks like an eclipse saw, Alan. Colour, shape and handle all look right.
If that's the one you want, I suppose an email to ask them would confirm it now.
All the best and cheers,
eddie
