The Freud generally makes it into reviews on the large plunge routers, and most accessories (such as bushings) have adapters available for the Freud, but I'm sure it's not as commonly found as the routers that are sold in the big box stores. Same, however, with Festool and such -- European products.
I have one, but haven't really used it yet. Gotta get it mounted in my router table -- way to big for me to use hand-held.

I have one and it is a beauty. That stepped starter makes the torque easy to handle. Now if I can just find that collet that came with it for the 1/4 shaft bits.......or motivate myself to buy another oneWicked Decent Woodworks

Kind of odd it has not caught on in the USA,its one of the few machines that allows the user to mount it on a table and do height adjustinment with screw knob that is built into it.Cheers.
I donno if I should be answering this or not.. being on the other side of the pond... but I've 2 of the Freuds... I'd be lost without em..
I've one permanently in the router table, the other is back up / HD hand held stuff...

Stay safe....Have fun
I like the machine alot too, the only thing that I dont like is how the springs for the brushes are designed it's kind of stupid, considering most motors use a screw cap for access otherwise a very solid unit.Cheers.
