Does anybody have any experience with the freud router table that I have pictured in my attachment? I am thinking about buying one, but don’t want to spend the money if it isn’t any good.

Take a look at this thread, which focused on the fence:

I have the system, except for the stand. It is a very sexy tool. I couldn't resist buying it when I first saw it.
I think it is a decent system, no more. The two fences dont aling well on my unit. They always seem to form a ''V'' so the workpiece don't slide smoothly from one to the other. I tried to fix it by using one single long hardwood strip and screwing it to both parts of the fence (thus eliminating the dual action fence that seemed like the interesting feature when I bought the thing...). Not any better. If I dont pay strict attention to turn the set screws excatly the same number of turns on each side, my wood strip will flex and the workpiece will catch in the bit clereance hole.
The travel is a little short, and the holes in the table to secure the fence are placed too far away from each other, so that the extreme ''out'' position of one hole is very close to the extreme ''in'' position of the next hole. This makes it complicated to work when your cut is near the limit of the fence extension (in or out).To rout a wide dado, for exemple, I sometimes had to start with the ''all in'' position on one hole and finish with the ''all out'' position in the next hole. The process is a little long and could be avoided with holes closer to one another.
The dust collection desing is interesting and effective. The slot in the table is also a nice feature. Micro-adjustment is defenitely a nice feature, and this one is effective.
All in all, it is not a bad product. If I had to buy a router table again, I would pay 200$ for this table, plate and fence, no more. But for the 400$ they ask, I would go for an other system. I think the top itself, at 140$, is much much too expensive. If you buy the fence and the plate, you will end up with a roughly 200$ bill, build your own top and base and have a not too bad system.
Remember, though, that this is only my opinion, based only on my unit. I've learned that listening to only one person is often misleading....
Did I write too much???
Hope this helps,
Fred
