I’m in the process of purchasing a turbine system. I’ve looked at
Fuji Q3 and Turbinaire 1235gt leaning towards the Fuji but I’m
looking for some advice. Is there much of a difference between 3 stage
and 4 stage? Is it just power? I like the fact that the Fuji is less
loud than the others. I have no experience with spray guns at all.
any advice would be great.
Thanks

To start, read through this article by Chris Minick, which provides an overview on turbine spray guns and all of the features to look for when purchasing one. It also reviews a handful of models on the market.
The number of stages in a turbine sprayer refers to the number of fans in the machine. The more stages the higher the airflow and the higher the viscosity finish the gun can handle. However, from what I've read most woodworking applications don't require much more than two-stages.
