Hi all,
I’m a VERY beginning woodworker (took one 5 day workshop and loved it), and am interested in finding a very simple futon frame to make. Does anyone know where I might find some plans? I want something that’s extremely easy to open up into a bed and then fold back up to a sofa.

A futon frame is a pretty challenging first project. There are a lot of engineering details that have to be just right in order for it to operate smoothly and safely.
You can get a plan here: http://woodstore.net/fantasticfuton.html, but I can't vouch for it.

Thanks for the link. That definitely looks like more than I bargained for. I know they can be complicated, but I've also seen very simple ones that don't have any arms at all. Just a seat and a back that are basically made out of slats.
