Hi,
Wanted to give you some feedback on the “online video tips” as I am experiencing them in the new format. In the old FineWoodworking web site there were usually around two online video tips, for which the user could choose Quicktime or RealPlayer to view them. Aside from occasional brief streaming stalls, I never had a serious problem with either viewer, when accessed via a high speed network link.
So far the only video tip I’ve tried to access in the FWN site format is the island shop tour of Alan DeVilbiss’ shop. I have yet to succeed (6 attempts). Usually one or two stalls, then hang, never more than 20% into the play bar. Unresponsive to attempts to restart using “pause/play” cycling.
I appreciate the online video tips and if unable to view them it will be a disappointing loss of value for me.
