I need to buy a busicuit joiner and seem to remember Fww rating them a while back, but am unable to find that issue.
Does anyone remember the issue or am I confusing this with another publication?
Regards,
Charlie

You can go to the back issue area and press control F, which is the finder in windows. Then just search for your term, i.e. joiner

Fine Woodworking - September/October 2001 - #151
I have the PC, like a lot of the features that the other don't have, if I remember it was right at the top after the high end lamello. One thing I had problems with on the PC is the two plastic pivots for the fence, take those off and you'll see that the half circle that acts as a guide is not solid (you'll see if you take that part off), on my joiner, the circle crushed when I used it, because by it not being solid it is too soft. I replaced the part and filled the hollow portion with a pastic epoxy that is used for automotive use, that made the part 100 times stronger and solved the defect. I don't know why those aren't either solid or made of aluminum. Other than that I have had no problems. Search for comments in this forum, I've seen mixed thought on the Dewalt.
Thanks DDay!
I have used the Porter Cable, Dewalt and a Freud. I have the Dewalt but would opt for the Porter Cable. Lamello is the top picks but over $400. Porter Cable is highly rated and works well.
