   Seriously, mobile bases for heavy power tools make this possible. Shop Fox (the brand I have) and HTC are the biggest. Some other companies also sell them and they may/may not be made by HTC or another company. The cute metal looking cabinets are OK, but for hand tool storage, regular rolling tool cabinets work great (Craftsman, Snap-On, Matco, MAC, Cornwell, etc). Slat wall is stronger than pegboard and easier to reconfigure since it's possible to slide the hooks and shelves instead of just being stuck with the holes. Store fixture stores sell the various pieces for hanging things on it. Cabinets can be hung from Slat Wall, too. Speaking of cabinets, lumber and building supply liquidators are a good source. If you want something that's finished, melamine covered is great and easy to keep clean. Anti-fatigue mats are good if he'll be standing in one position for long periods. Good lighting is essential- not only for seeing things well but for safety, too. If the garage is attached to the house, running a gas line out for a heater is a bonus.
