Over the years our cabinet shop has tried garnica when Columbia has seemed to have quality control issues but evey time we try it the stock is so warped/ sometimes its only noticible once you split a sheet that its completely unusable. We are sending back a large order because its so warped and potato chipped. A rep says we are the only cabinet shop thats ever complained about garnica but i find that hard to believe since we have had issues with it every time. Anybody else out there find an issue with this stuff?

I've been using prefinished 1/2 garnica for kitchen drawer sides since I used up my last prefinished baltic birch and can't get any more. I've gone through 2 lifts now and really don't like it. It's half the weight of baltic because of the poplar core and makes the drawers feel...cheap. It's not a big issue with undermount drawers, but yes I have noticed some warping in the 8ft lengths when I break down the sheets to drawer side widths. Way too much for such a high priced product. I'm trying to source prefinished 4x8 sheets of baltic again, but my previous lifts all had russian writing on the cardboard lift wrappers, soooo..... no luck yet.
I have gotten the response “we’ve never heard of that before“ from so many different vendors, and services that I don’t even react to it anymore.
