Well I am new to the Forum and I already messed up. I wanted to post a question about General table saws in the “Tools for Woodworking” section–it seems to have ended up in the “Archives” section (sigh). Somebody tell me, do I need to re-post? Thanks.

Agoebe,
As each of us come into knots, new posts (ones we have not read)are listed on the left side in many cases. So I don't think you'll have to post...especially because being in archives it'll raise everyones interest...as it did mine.
My motto....ya want a cabinet saw...buy a cabinet saw...don't deny yourself for a few bucks. General is a great saw.
Found an amateur review of the GI- 50-260 on another site:

http://forums.taunton.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=tp-knots&msg=17161.5 this is a link to your "archive" discussion, good stuff there. Thanks for the 260 review, sounds like a really nice saw.
