Alot of my t shirts have wood glue adorning them which I ignore but which bothers my wife…now I’m in deeper trouble because my granddaughter has developed a fascination with gluing things together, uses too much glue and has gotten glue on her clothes, not all of them play clothes….her mother is abit angry with me over it….all this could be made right again if only I knew how to get the glue out of the clothes…..anyone have any brilliant ideas?

hi neil,
soak the glue spots with white vinegar. a little friction, when the glue begins to soften, is helpful to speed things up.

Glue spots
Gee, some of my favorite shop shirts act like body armor. ;-)
De-Glue Goo should work on clothes.

I too see the glue globs as badges of honor. Assuming it's regular wood glue, soaking in water (hot water even better) for a day or two should soften the glue significantly.
Play Clothes
My Mom always made me change into my play clothes before I could go out and play. It's a habit that I still have. There are shop clothes, and non-shop clothes.
gettting out the glue
The problem here is that Papaw didn't make Mea put on HER play clothes because he has a hard time distiguishing between the clothes that are okay to wear to the shop and those that should not visit the shop...

Bumper sticker.
My wife saw this bumper sticker years ago and has told everyone she knows, (of the female persuasion) about it ever since.

Glue n paint.
Sometimes I turn my shirt inside out when I am about to glue or paint. Then at least most of the spatters are on the inside. You would think I would just grab my apron that has been hanging there, unused for many years, but I never do. Go figure.
I spread glue on edges with good artists brushes and sometimes forget to wash them. Even Titebond III, the waterproof glue, will come out of a brush if I soak it in hot water with a bit of dish washing liquid soap in it. Even after it has dried solid, days old. This might work on shirts too. Sometimes the brushes take a day of soaking but they always soften up in the end.
Dutchman
You need a scissor - cut around the defect with a similar fabric swatch underneath - than sew in new piece - Boulle work -
