I use my inexpensive hot melt glue gun for a number of tasks in the shop. The dual heat (stanley I think) trigger feed model works fine but when I put it down it drips glue in large globs. Even if I prop it in a nose up position it still drips and runs down the side of the gun. Can anyone recommend a model that does not do this or does it only minimally?
Thanks

Glue, yes. Guns, no.
I doubt that many of the posters here use glue guns, so this might not be the place for an answer. Hot hide glue? Now that's another matter! The hand tools discussed here generally do not have cords attached.
Glue Gun
No offense intended. I'll move the post to "power tools".
Glue Gun
I have a Franklin Hipurformer polyurethane glue gun but haven't used it in years. The tubes are rather expensive and go bad with age. Luckily it was given to me by somebody that was as thrilled with it as I am, said with tongue in cheek.
Glue Gun
BruceS,
I understand that the Hipurformer glue guns are great but they are too pricy for my taste.
What I have is just the usual inexpensive glue gun that uses the round hot melt glue sticks. I would'nt use it for anything structural but it is great for holding things in position temporarily.
