Hi all I am thinking about making a maple cutting board using 2″ cubes. Is there a glue I should use on this project or will water proof wood glue work OK. I was thinking gorila glue at first but that is a lot of glue and food cross contamination to worry about…

i find the west system epoxy works very well for cutting boards, counters or anywhere i feel will have water present. the stuff has a decent pot life and to my surprise it mixes well with colouring agents. (fibreglass resin colour, the reds look great, and sheffield metal powders you have to watch, the powder will settle during the cure period)

This issue has come up a lot in this forum, so you might want to do a search of the archives, Personally, I've had great success using Titebond II for end-grain maple cutting boards and all the ones I've done have been in service for several years without a hitch. Give it a try!
