I have just glued up a new workbench top that is 8’X35″X 12/4 using Titebond II.

It is heavily clamped. But I won’t have a chance to scrape off the excess until in the morning (it’s in a friend’s shop who has a big industrial grade wide belt sander).

How long should it stay clamped? How long should I wait to sand?

I’m interested in those with more years of experience and the technical savvy than I bring to the craft.
