This is probably a dumb question, but I’m not used to working with anything other than solid wood so any help would be appreciated. I’m looking at putting some 3/4 inch solid maple edge on maple plywood and am wondering about the glueing characteristics of the plywood. Will it be strong enough to use just glue or do I need finishing nails or screws? The edge is 3/4 inch plywood.
Thanks

For edgebanding, yellow glue is plenty strong. However, you may want to use some biscuits to help with alignment.
I'd also suggest cutting the edge banding a bit over sized say a scant 1/8th and flush it to the surface after the glue dries. By the way, Fine Woodworking just had an article that featured several methods of glueing solid wood edgebanding to plywood. If you're new to this technique you'll benefit from the article.
