I wish to double check and seek recommendations for gluing tenon and moritse joints for large dressers to allow for wood movement on carcase sides.
I can glue the front mortise and tenon jpoint for the drawer divider and runners but keep the back tenon a bit looser with a bit of paraffion on them correct! Or is it better to have a snug tenon joint at the front but do not glue it?
Thanks

Spitfire,
That's the way I've always done it. Glue the front, leave room for expansion in the back, without glue or fasteners. But I varnish the runners, then coat with paste wax. I'm open to new ideas though..
