I have always, when I’ve heard the phrase, “They have got more money than sense, wondered what kind of sense would I like to have. Is it the kind of sense to be able make the kind of money that the apparently senseless rich folk among us have or choose to work for the wage that I do. If I had the option at this stage of life to change my financial condition I would choose to be senseless and be able to pay obscene amouts of money for antiques. But we can’t all be wealthy, at least monetarily, but to have the talent to be able to reproduce the Goddard piece, now thats’ richness that money can’t buy. So for me, the quote above just doesn’t make a whole lot of a…..sense

Hi there Bob,
I am in total agreement with you. I have just been looking at a piece which I made about 25 years ago. It is a dresser designed by F H Gottishall. I look at it and think " In another 75 years that will be an antique" I hope my limited skills will be appreciated then. At least my wife thinks it is a useful and decorative.
Best regards
Woodsy
