Can anyone recommend a good book on designing, building, and installing interior paneling? I’d really love something that covers period construction techniques.
Much obliged!

If you want the real deal in period architectural work, this series of books is a must have.
"Architectural Treasures of Early America"

The books include black and white photos and fantastic, old school, draftsman drawings and details. "The Survey of Early American Design" has sections on a variety of woodwork from windows to paneling. Each book in the series is similar, they cover various regions. Lots of exterior pictures, many exterior door pictures, since they were highly detailed in the period. Staircases, paneling, gates, all the cool stuff. It includes examples from the most basic of early years, to the ornate work of the Federal period.
