I've used the Hardwood Connection in Sycamore, and Twin Oaks Hardwoods in Sinsinawa, WI. There are many others if you're in the Chicago area, but I moved from there about 5 yrs ago and I'm not sure if they're all still open.
Do you know if they are reasonable. I live in Dixon and could go to any of those locations. Thanks
I now live in Galena, in the very north west corner of the state. I now buy most of my wood at Twin Oaks and I think their prices are very fair. The wood has always been good. Its all planed hit or miss and the will plane it to whatever thickness you want. I think Hardwood Connection is closer to you but I think their prices are higher. Send me your email address and I'll send you a price list from Twin Oaks.

like Johnny Carson would say......I.......did not know that ? do you suppose they erected a lifesize statue , or just magnetic hood ornaments ...... harI used to work around the airport back in the late 1900s....and it always seemed to me that town had no idea where or what it wanted to BE..
. main streets that just became one way..
..or took off on some goofy tangent into a neighborhood....
no buffers between business and residential areasthen again it might have been the herbs...:>)
