Just laying about, needing to to do? The scraps, that is. How about something simple? A bit of bandsawing with a small blade, some round-overs. The little project I do this time of year comes from just an old 1×6 piece of pine. If you have other wood, that’s fine. Just something about that size will do. I’m talking about aReindeer ( Rudolph, maybe?) and a simple sleigh for him. A few pictures of both the parts, and what they make:

How about
using a single board to make a chair? The one I made was from a single 1x8, about 6' long. It was an extra board, leftover from a table project. A few scroll cuts on the bandsaw, counterbore and plug the screwholes, some stain, and some varnish. Turned into a small "pouting Chair". A few pictures?
