Friends,
I got to watch my 8 year old boy cut to a line in 5/8 cherry and then chisel out some fairly nice dovetail pins tonight (for the first time). Pretty close for a kid- or adult . That was worth big money.
Now he understands why I make him do everything by hand.

PS.It is obnoxious to brag about you kid, but I can’t help it.

Nothing obnoxious about it!
My 4 yr old loves to come out in the garage and "work" with me.
I've never seen anybody enjoy sanding a scrap piece of wood as he does. We put a little finish on it and he sands it some more........

Keep his hands safe, it sounds like he'll may have a future as a surgeon !

Enjoy it while it lasts. My son, almost 16, used to come out to the shop and 'work' with me all the time. Now, the only time he steps through the door is to tell that dinner is ready.
I figure he'll come back when he's ready, and done chasing all those young pretty girls. LOL
Merry Christmas,
Jeff
Jeff, my nephew (now 20) has come out to the shop "to watch" a few times. Unfortunately, he usually offers the skateboarder's shrug, and mutters something about the activity in which I'm engaged having too strong a resemblance to work for his liking.
You're right, Biscardi has a lot to be thankful for!

Frank that is just so cool. I love it when my kids help me in the shop.
Kudos!
This is definitely a thread that deserves photographs!
