I’d like to replace my ’50s craftsman 10″ tablesaw with a newer and better saw. Does anyone have any experience with the Grizzley 1023LS?

Tele,
I've only read good things about it. Every review agrees it's a lot of saw for the money.
I seriously considered buying one, but once I added in shipping and a 50" fence, it wasn't much less than what my local dealer wanted for a Jet.

I have the 1023s which is the right tilt cabinet saw.I bought it two years ago and use it almost every day. This is an excellent saw.I have the classic fence [ Biesmier clone ]
I moved the standard size rails to the right of the blade and can rip to 38" without buying long rails.I never rip to the left of the blade anyhow. The miter gauge is a quality cast iron tool. I have used many cabinet saws over the years, in the 10" saws only Powermatic and General are better quality. Yes I have used the Jet cabinet saw and the Delta unisaws. I like the Jet but the 3 hp motor does not seem to have the power of other brand saws with the same hp. The Unisaw 3 hp saw has plenty of power but in my opinion it is overpriced about $ 300.00
If money is no object the Powermatic is the saw I'd choose, otherwise the Grizzly is my choice.
Tele,
A very nice saw to say the least. I purchased a 1023SL this year and can tell you it has proven to be a winner. Set up was so much easier than I thought it would be. The fit and finish was very good. Customer service and tech support was outstanding. I have since bought a couple of other Grizzly products but this saw is by far well worth the money. To compare this saw to a Jet is like is comparing apples and oranges. This saw (the 3hp model) has plenty of muscle. Does not bogg down and is extremely quiet for a big saw. Be careful though, at 430 lbs. this is a beast to unload. Don't buy the saw without a mobile base. This saw right out of the carton took very little to set up and adjustments and tune up were minor. My saw has paid for itself more than once already.

I was going to purchase the Grizzly, but had to be up and running quickly. I located a dealer locally who had a shop fox in stock, basically the same machine with a 2 year warranty.
The Shop Fox has a dealer network to support you. Mine came in handy, as my new TS had a cupped wing and a motor drawing high current. My table was out of tolerence and had a small gouge from the factory I presume. Shop Fox did ship out replacement parts, but they are still somewhere in a CF trailer on a train somewhere waiting for instructions from bankruptcy court. The dealer stripped his floor model, drove 1 1/2 hours and helped me replace the motor and wing. Got the saw running like it should 2 1/2 weeks after it was delivered. Someday I hope they will ship me a new table.
Overall, I am happy with the performance. I could not justify spending the extra $700 for the Delta at this time. Also, I can add the 50" rails for about $120 later on when space permits.
I don't think you can go wrong with either machine for the money.
