Hello Yall…got a question for 1023 owners. I just purchased a 1023 from Grizzly because my grandfather’s Delta contractor (early 70’s model) just quit (selling on Ebay). Arbor bearings, I think, are going out.
Anyway, I have some questions. I am putting an Incra TS fence on the 1023. Anyone currently have this setup? Anything I should be aware of regarding this installation?
Another question. When you set up your 1023 did you happen to notice if the arbor pullies are cast iron or otherwise? I thought about getting link belts and machined steel pullies for the 1023, and installing them prior to assembly.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I haven't needed to look into the base of my saw (other than removing the arbor washer when I drop it) but if I remember, the 1023S has three belts. I haven't felt any need to change them. I also haven't felt any need to worry about whether the pulley is cast iron or not. I think it is, though. Whatever they're made from, they're machined to an acceptable degree. I haven't needed to change the belts, adjust anything, tighten anything. I did get the 7' rails, made an extension table and got the Shop Fox mobile base/extension for it since I need to store it out of the way.
Get good blades and make sure the power cord is heavy enough. That's about all I think you'll need. If you take the time to set it up properly, the cuts should be as consistently accurate as they are on my saw.
Okay....so I'll probably not have to worry about vibration from pulley's and belts. That's good. I don't have the luxury of buying 7' worth of any fence. My shop is small. I have been selling equipment just to make room for me to walk in and out. I have already made up my mind to install the Inrcra fence with a router table on one end. I have become accustomed to the repeatability of that fence.Does anyone use this current configuration? Incra & 1023? Mine is being delivered today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Wooohoooooooooooooooooooooo

No wonder I don't shop E-Bay!
Will George....I don't understand your post....could you clarify?
Will George - I just figured out your post, and you've managed to stimulate the profanity center in my brain. Count your blessings that you don't have to deal with me in person. You automatically assumed that I just turned to Ebay to unload a problem onto someone else. The underlying premise being I am not truthful or trustworthy. You are not worth the explanation, but I stated clearly in the auction that the arbor bearings were bad, and because there are other people in the world that still think there are trustworthy people left in this world, it sold. Why would you auto-assume worst case in this issue the way you did? Don't say it's a slam on Ebay and you worded it wrong. I don't accept those types of answers. Say what you mean and if you don't know what you mean keep your mouth shut. In this scenario, apologies are a dime a dozen and they serve only to shine light on how ingnorant a person is.
Is there a way to block posts from certain individuals? I don't have a long history of bad posts from any one individual but I have had posts that I begin to read and would rather have the option to click a button and stop recieve post from that person. Not to censor my exposure because I can't take it but to keep from wasting time reading post from less than constructive individuals. Seems to be a fair amount of undue sinisism within the post here and on most forums as well.
I have spent quite a bit of time on several different types of forums and you get one of two extremes. Deletion of any post that contains specific word sets, or no monitoring at all. Not sure which way this forum goes. There are only a few specific things that twist me quickly. Challenging my honesty is one of them.
I don't want it to be monitored. I would like to be able to select the the offensive poster and keep them from showing up on my computer. Only to save time and to keep from waiding through "junk" posts. Definetly don't want to be sencored. Like blocking spam from my e-mail.
