Hello,
Am relatively new to wookworking so I will unfortunately be contributing more questions than answers. Just discovered this forum a few days ago and posted a question, but put it in the wrong column. Looking to spend a little christmas money and saw the 15 ga angle nailer in grizzly catalog. Think it was 89.00. Seems pretty inexpensive. I would be giving it fairly light use. Has anybody owned or had any experience with this nailer? Thanks in advance for any opinions.

Sorry you haven't gotten any responses yet, tdav. Porter Cable, Senco and a couple other brands probably dominate the market, and it can be kinda hard to find someone who has the Grizzly nailers.
What type of work do you plan to use it for?

Thanks for the response,
Right now, just plan to use it on the trim inside my house. After that, I will have to come up with some more uses. I have a cheap Campbell Hausefeld brad nailer that I have used once every couple months so for the past 5 years or so and have had no problems. This nailer would probably get light use but you never know. I will probably just get it and let people know if it is no good.
"and let people know if it is no good." Let us know if it is good too, LOL! Seriously, feedback here would be welcome. Nitty-gritty stuff: how consistent is the depth, ease-of-use, jamming or not, I dunno -- what all do we consider with these nailers? I have only the PC 18ga brad nailer at this point. forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)Another proud member of the "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>)
I have a Grizzly 18g brad nailer--it was a summer special for something crazy like $28. It works fine, though the instructions were on the weak side and the tip is too fat for precision work.
My 15g framer is from PC, and was on sale at Lowes for about $130. I have not noticed any difference in quality between the PC and the much smaller Griz; they both shoot bits of metal into wood.
tdav,
I own a 15 gauge Grizzly angle nail gun that i got for about $90. I am a trim carpenter so I use my gun everyday. I trimed 3 houses approx. 1200 sf/each then the recoil seal went bad ($3 for the part and $8 to ship it). The seal was fairly easy to replace but, the gun will only be a backup from now on. For very limited use the Grizzly should be OK.
Most of the guys doing trim day in and day out swear by Hitatchi, dewalt and Senco XP. I bought Hitatchi ($200) and I am convinced that this is one tough gun plus it has a nice little feature, a built-in blow gun.
