Has anyone had experience with a Grizzly G0555x extreme 14″ band saw ? There are no dealers in my area, so I haven’t been able to look one over. I have heard the lower blade guides can be difficult to access on some models but was not able to find any reviews on this model. I would appreciate any input good or bad.

I think it's an excellent saw compared to other 14" band saws. It is as good or better than anything else in its price range and higher.
I had the "lesser" version of the same saw which I used for over 3 years. The model you're considering has some significant refinements over the one I had.
Set it up and adjust it as Michael fortune recommends here and you will have a well-performing piece of equipment:

I purchased the G0555 a few months ago, and the lower blade guides setup is not that difficult. For the price, this BS seems to be a good value.
Wood mag web site has a series of videos by Craig Ruegsegger that use the Grizzly G0555x for demonstrating "Bandsaw Tips and Techniques." He does the guide setup and after you watch the video you should not have a problem with the setup.
Also, on FWW, check out the 9 part video series by Roland Johnson, "Bandsaw Questions."

I have the GO555 and like it. I wear bifocals and it is difficult for me to get my head in position to adjust any lower bandsaw guides. On the 555 I take the easy way out. I remove the two trunion nuts, plastic knobs, and remove the table. I takes two minutes and it is not heavy. Give it a try.

You, my friend, may have struck the deal of the year! Would you like my cell phone # in case another deal comes along?
He has a 8" Bird Spiral Bit Jointer in MINT condition he is getting rid of (I already have one) and A Barly used 50" 10" 5hp Unisaw with the Excalibur over head dust, and a nice router wing set up too. Um a Leigh Dovetail setup with M/T and assorted stuff. This is all in the Tampa Area. Oh he has a nice DC too a unita(sp?) cyclone. "Everything must go!)RichCapt. Rich Clark

Wow! Unfortunately, I am in the Indianapolis area. Sounds like someone is going to get a great break.
"There are no dealers in my area." There are no dealers anywhere, only the 3 showrooms in the USA. That's their main price-reduction strategy. Fortunately, one of the showrooms is "only" a 3-hours ferry/car ride from my abode, fun place to visit.
I have the Shop Fox W1706 which is the same only painted white. It is sold by local woodworking stores and is marketed by Grizzley You can probably find a dealer in your area. It is a great saw. I have been doing a lot of resawing 5-1/2" oak and maple. It came with Timberwolf blades and I continue to purchase them as they are also very good. I would certainly check out the Shop Fox, In fact a few months ago there was a review of bandsaws in the Wood magizine and it rated very high.
