Anybody own a grizzly 1023S? What do you think? Have you had a good experience with the company? Any problems? Thanks in advance!

There has been quite a bit posted on this machine, so you may want to check the archives. Yes, it's a good saw. Yes, it's a great deal. Yes, Grizzly has very good support and service. If you like it, buy it.

Thanks Jeff. I ordered a left tilt version today. Now I need to find a few friends to help unload it. It really looks like a great value. I was going to buy the new Jet Supersaw but this seems like more muscle.
I think you made a good choice. The Jet is really underpowered. Good luck.

I was following your other thread. Congrats!!
You get a lot of saw with a cabinet saw. The guts on the cabinet are totally different from a contractor saw. Jet and Dewalt had a good idea with the sliding table, but they should have put it on a cabinet saw instead of a modified contractor. Go figure. You have 3 shorter drive belts as opposed to a motor hanging miles away from the action. The cabinet and cast iron tables are also heavier which reduces vibration. Can go on and on, but will sum it up with:
You did the right thing by choosing the cabinet. You got the most for your money. You can add a slider latter and end up with a great set-up in the long run. The solid foundation has been laid. Again, congrats... You seem a bit excited.he..he..

Thanks. I'm pretty excited. Now to sell my contractors saw. I'll let you know what I think of the Grizzly when I get it.

I been doing some research on Grizzly and General. Both look good on paper, reviews and feed-back. You will find that all cabinets generally are a big improvement over a contractor. My first saw was a Shopmate circular mounted under a 2 x 4 ply board between two sawhorses. Ha... I didn't know enough about saws to complain. Worked great. I'm sure the Grizzly will stand up and growl for you. Again, enjoy..
