Hophornbeam,
I don't have any experience with bandsaws period. However, I did buy the bandsaw book last year and studied their comments. Grizzly has a 16" and 18" that has cast iron wheels..this was greatly prefered in the Bandsaw book....the cast iron wheels...not Grizzly per se...
I have a review of the saw on my site. It has performed quite well. I am completely satisfied with it and would highly recommend it.

Thanks for the info.
Terry, or anyone with knowledge of this, I need some help with my G0513, it will not track right, I have new tires, new blade, and the blade will track to the rear of the upper wheel, no matter where I try to start it. I have the blade as tight is I dare without it snapping.
I've had this saw for a long time, and it just started doing this. any help would be appreciated.
Did you try adjusting the blade tracking with the tracking guide knob and locking lever on the back side, near the blade tension release arm? If not, unplug the power cord then move your blade guides back so they're not affecting the tracking of the blade when you make the adjustment. Then locate the tracking guide knob and locking lever. This knob will adjust the upper wheel tilt and center the blade. If you have an instruction manual, it should describe how this is done. Depending on which direction you turn the knob the blade will track from one side of the wheel to the other. Spin the wheel by hand as you turn the knob to see which way it's going. Once centered, spin the wheel around at least three times to make sure it stays there and then tighten the locking lever and re-adjust your saw blade guides.
thanks Jim, that is very helpful, I got this saw from dad before he passed a few years back. never knew what that knob was for.
will give this a shot tomorrow...thanks again.
FIXED. watched a couple videos that explained the how to's as well.
thanks for the help.
found out I do need to replace a support bearing, also will be looking into a bearing upgrade kit as well.
Did the trouble start right after you installed the new tires?
If yes then:
What brand of tires?
Did you remove the wheels to install the tires?

I have this saw and am happy with it. When resawing with a new-ish blade it works pretty well. I've seen reports of some BS users (various brands) who claim that the surface they get is virtually ready to be sanded. I don't get that good of a result with mine. However I did some 3/16 walnut veneers that I planed down to 1/8. Worked great. I consider this a good BS for the serious garage woodworker.
I have one for a couple of years and it works as expected, if it didn't, I'd get something else. No problems with the machine, that I've experienced. Setup and operation are all good.
I won't touch what people "claim" about cut quality.
I typically rum everything through the drum sander and take off the saw marks and it's good to go.
