   Hophornbeam,

   I don't have any experience with bandsaws period.  However, I did buy the bandsaw book last year and studied their comments.  Grizzly has a 16" and 18" that has cast iron wheels..this was greatly prefered in the Bandsaw book....the cast iron wheels...not Grizzly per se...

   I have a review of the saw on my site. It has performed quite well. I am completely satisfied with it and would highly recommend it.
