Mounting a router in this table is a nightmare. I avoid it if possible! Do you own this router table??? Have any tips other then mounting it and leave it in there…

I'm not a big fan of Grizzly, but with that said I would dedicate a router to the table.
You need two routers, one for free-hand use and your table mounted unit.
Mount the router, get everything aligned and all that stuff and just leave it.

Buy an extra base and just switch the motor when you need a handheld
dgreen has a good idea. I'd add that instead of those clamps you could screw the router directly to the table far a better perminate instalation.

I stupidly bought that table a couple of years ago and hated the thing from day one. In my opinion the whole thing was junk. It however has served me very well as a very sturdy table for my mortiser and grinder. The shelf underneath is handy for collecting dust. I went back to the router insert on the table extension to my table saw. PMM
Dgreen is totally on target -- an extra base. I have the Veritas steel router table top, and before I dedicated a big Freud router to it, I had a PC690 mounted in an extra base. See here for their design.
I took one look at the Grizzly table the last time I was at the Bellingham showroom and knew it wasn't for me. Way to awkward.
forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
I have used this table for 3 years and it is great, I do have a dedicated router for it, as taking it on and off is a real pain.
I also replaced the fence with a shop made one as the gap between the table and dust port at the back reduced dust colletion when the fence was moved back, but with the shop made one the dust port is only 4in from the fence. But the only real answer is to get a dedicated router.
Thank You all for your ideas and help. I really appreciate it.
I think I need to bite the bullet and dedicate a router to the table... I also think I will need to replace the fence too. I shop fence will work much better.
