The G0540 isn't supposed to be available before April. I saw the listing in the new catlog a few months ago. Actually the machine is really a horizontal slot mortiser but the marketing people have kind of botched the ad copy and don't do the machine justice in the description. It mentions that it has horizontal travel of six inches...certainly not typical of a boring machine. The motor speed is typical of most slot mortisers. For $330 delivered it's certainly worth a shot plus you can always return it. No slot mortiser is available for anything close to that price, plus you can drill with it!
