Hey everyone,
I recently bought a Grizzly G0771Z table saw and am in the process of setting it up. I’m running into an issue where the motor hits the motor cover as I raise the blade beyond beyond 2 3/4” inches. The motor cover is flexible enough that the blade will continue to rise, but it’s forcing the blade to come out of 90*.
At full blade extension, you can see that the motor extends beyond the cover opening.
I’ve reached out to Grizzly but they’ve been slow to get back. In the meantime, are other G0771Z owners experiencing this issue? Could someone share a picture of their motor location at full extension?

Since the cover is not per-assembled could it be that the per-drilled holes in the frame be out of location by 1/2´´ ? Then you could drill new holes and use self tap screws to raise the cover.
That was something I had thought about and something I definitely could do, but it would then leave a 1/2" gap across the bottom of the panel. I'm also thinking about resale value.
I read reviews and they are good but faulty cover comes often, probably a vacu-formed part. Try get a new one from Grizzly.

Sorry, I can't get your photo to display so I'll ask: Is your motor cover installed with the 45* beveled corner facing down like in the photo on the Grizzly website?
Yeah, it's installed correctly with the bevel on the bottom and vents at the top.
I bought the same saw in March and I am having the same issues. What did Grizzly do for you?
