What are your thoughts on grizzly tools. Are they a good brand or not? I’m thinking of getting a dust collections system.
Thanks,
Sean

have a few
I have the 17" BS, horizontal boring machine, 1023TS and 12" jointer. I've had them for a long time and they are ok. Still run and a decent price point. General rule of thumb the bigger pieces of equipment are good the little stuff is pretty cheap IMO. I now reccomend old iron but that would not apply in your case. Can't speak specifically to the DC. CS is good never had any issues much. I'd post the question over at sawmillcreek as very few visit here much anymore. Good luck.
Have you decided buying tools from Grizzly ?
Grizzly tools
I purchased a 2hp dust collector a few years back. I think it was around $250. Last January I upgraded to a wynn filter and last month I got an Oneida super dust deputy, huge improvements.
The collector is on about 40 hours a week and it's been a fine machine, it's just a matter of keeping the filter clean which is the case with all collectors.
Oh I see. Goodluck to you!
grizzly tools
I have quite a few Grizzly tools and for the most part I have been satisfied. The fit and finish is very good. I have a 3 HP dust collector which works very well. 17" bandsaw, 3 hp shaper, 6' jointer, morticer, That being said, when asked what type of lathe my brother should buy (money no issue) I told him Powermatic or Jet..
You own Grizzly bandsaw? How is it going?
