I have been an avid FWW subscriber for years and have learned many things from it. But, now I am attempting my first acoustic guitar. How about including some luthier tips and projects for those of us looking for interesting wood working projects that don’t include cabinets.

I've built a couple and restored quite a few more. I might suggest that you go onto the the " unofficial Martin guitar forum " or " mandolin cafe forum " for luthery advise. Mandolin cafe in particular is a really well run site and mandolins being much more exacting in construction than guitars some there really know their stuff, many of them also build guitars.
thx for the info. I'll check them out
Check out the Musical Instrument Makers Forum https://www.mimf.com
It's kind of a niche interest and MIMF has loads of contributors.
I've also built a few guitars and would recommend Robbie O'Brien's lutherieacademy.com if you're interested in an online course. I've used the acoustic steel string and electric guitar courses, which are very thorough. Projectguitar.com is also great, but tends to be more geared toward electric guitar construction. Good luck with the build!
I'm an avid woodworker and a wanna-be luthier, but they're really entirely different things. Sadly, we couldn't possibly cover how to build a guitar in a meaningful way. There are many sites and magazines about luthiery for a good reason—a ton of info is needed!
