Does anyone have any information/plans on building high end gun cases? The type I referring to are usually covered in canvas and/or leather and are for nice double guns, (O/U and SxS).

I don't have any plans but here are a few nice looking pieces. Not covered in canvas or leather, but I guess you could. I've got one on my to-do list, but it's several items down.

hi I am not sure what you meaning but I am just finishing a 16 drawer pistal and knife cabinet (cherry) my own plan--if I am able to send this -- it shows the cabinet before I put in the drawre filler rails
Napie,
You mean a case like this?
I am in the trade and I have never seen plans for doing English fitted cases. Lee Valley has some of the hardware you might want to use as well as felt and other oddments you might need to do one.
I make fitted cases for slightly larger guns like this!
That's some impressive hardware, a bit more than we use to bust clays!
I am going to be doing some smaller fancier boxes along the lines of the Belgian firm FN used as presentation boxes for their Fusil Automatique Leger better known as the FN FAL, right arm of the free world.
Actually rather austere boxes without felt or even French Fitting but since I am doing other stuff for the FAL I thought it would be fun to make some of those up as well.
I had never thought of it but you are right, the FAL vs. the AK47, that about sums it up. I'd love to see the completed boxes. I'm working on a design in figured walnut for my Superposed, hope it does the gun justice, (it stays home a lot, the Citoris do the heavy lifting!).
There's a fellow named Huey in Kansas City, MO who makes them from scratch. Beautiful, and expensive, but good value. Don't know if he would sell plans or not.
Number I have is 816 444 1637.
