I can’t swing a hammer like I used to due to an elbow injury.
I’m looking for a framing hammer that might be alittle easier on my arm. Have already switched from my favorite wood handled one to a fiberglas rubber grip, which helped. Has anybody tried the new one from Estwing, the weight forward fiberglass hammer.

Did you try looking at stanleys anti-vibe hammers? There suppose to be pretty good on fatigue when using for a while. I used one for a short time and it felt very comfortable. Check out web site below. Good luck

I haven't used one, or even seen one. But a lot of folks at Breaktime sing the praises of the Stilletto titanium hammers. You might want to check them out.
If everything seems to be going well, you've obviously overlooked something.
Definately look into the Titanium stuff. Stilletto has 14 oz. hammers--less than normal claw hammers! They feel great. Expensive...Something like $70 retail. I think Deathstick also has some titanium stuff.
I have been swinging an estwing for long enough to have had to regrind the waffles twice. It's just the one that really felt right to me. Now, I'm looking at the ads for their new framing hammer, the one without a head. Looks so bizaar I want to hang it on my belt just to hear the razberries blowing! When you look at it, and think about the egonomics, it makes a certain sense. Maybe next spring, when I have to go to work again, I'll buy one. One serious question though. Will it hang on a steel loop?
I've seen a review from buttuglycontracting, and he says it will. He likes it a lot. Says it has lots of power, good handle, and is anti-vibe.Young, poor, and eager to learn
Thanks for the note. I read the posting to you that at least someone liked it. I'll probably buy one just because it's unique. I got about 2 dozen various hammers anyway, so what's another one! I didn't think about the hammer loop fit, though I most often carry my hammer nose first in my right-hand bag.
