Is there any hand saw sharpening services in or near Chicago? I have 2 old Disston panel saws that need sharpening and 1 of them needs quite a bit of work.

I can suggest Bad AXE Tool works in LaCross, MI. Mark did an outstanding job on my Disston cross cut saw. If you need a back saw he is the go to guy, his saws cut through maple and oak like butter. http://www.badaxetoolworks.com/#

Ace Hardware, Ace Ln, RT59 and 111ST. south Naperville offer a sharpening service. I’m not sure who does it. The guy sharpened a saw and a couple of table saw blades. Nice job and reasonably priced.
