I’m getting ready to build a set of bifold doors for a pass-thru opening, about 48’W X 36″ H, between kitchen and dining room. Can anyone point me to a source for hardware (bifold hinges, track, etc.), or plans, photos,, etc.? The doors themselves I can build OK, its just the mounting hardware I’m unfamiliar with. Thanks a bunch.

desertmaster, Try hettithamerica they make the best sliding and or bifold door hdwe.
Used to be GRANT SLIDING DOOR HARDWARE
I,ve built and installed hundreds of sliding and bifold doors and particularly like their quality hardware.
Their tracks are extruded aluminum shaped like an I beam. Their trolleys have four wheels (Like a skate) which ride on the rail and positively won't 'Jump the track' like most other manufacturer,s products.
Since your doors will be 'Pass thru', (As opposed to closet function) you might want to select the recessed pulls as they are mortised into the doors and won,t bind against the opposing door They are called flush cups.
For a four door set You will need one track, two sets of pivots ,two rollers(Carriers)a four to six hinges and four pulls
The better carrier sets are top mounted and adjustable, so the hardware doesn't show as you pass thru.
They also have alligners of which you'll need two they attach near the bottom center and keep the closed doors nicely aligned and prevent the wooden doors from warping. good luck. Steinmetz. Look for a local architectural hardware dealer

Another great brand is Hafele and you can buy direct from them on the internet. Not inexpensive by any means but you'll never be sorry you used it. There's nothing but junk at the big box stores.

We trained hard, but it seemed that every time we were beginning to form up into teams, we would be reorganized. I was to learn later in life that we tend to meet any new situation by reorganizing; and a wonderful method it can be for creating the illusion of progress while producing confusion, inefficiency, and demoralization.
