I live in St-lazare, just west of Montreal. I buy my wood from a local sawmill on Highway 340, in St-Lazare, which is called Scierie JTM Their phone number is (450) 455-9450. Ask for Mike or Terry. They usually carry hard maple, oak, ash, cherry, beech, birch, walnut, elm and butternut. You can buy any quantity you want, select the boards you want, and their prices are very reasonable. They only sell rough unmilled lumber, but can face joint or edge joint boards for a supplement.
Cheers.
Guy
