I am curious if anyone has used the Dowelmax and what your opinions of the jig are? In the past I have used a simple doweling jig and have not enjoyed the process at all. Based on the website the Dowelmax seems like a quality jig. A few months ago a Canadian WW magazine did a review/comparison of doweling jigs, has anyone read the article? Any input would be appreciated, thank you in advance for your advice. Bill

I am looking for the best doweling jig on the market. The jig must bore up to 1/2 inch holes. Have you found what you think is the best jig?
Thanks for the info. Please respond

Bob, sorry for the delay in responding but I've been away from the computer. I purchased the Dowelmax about 1 year ago and am very pleased with the jig. It does everything as advertised. The only concern you might have is that it does not do 1/2" holes, only 1/4 & 3/8 as far as I know. Otherwise it is an outstanding tool. Hope this helps, Bill
Bill,
I've used the Dowelmax on a few projects. It's great!! It would be hard to put something together out of alignment using this jig.We could only wish that other tool companies made their products to the high standards of the Dowelmax. It is a solid and accurate tool. The only set back I can see is the price, but, you get what you pay for.
