   Carson Optical Pro Series MagniVisor Deluxe Head-Worn LED Lighted Magnifier with 4 Different Lenses (1.5x, 2x, 2.5x, 3x) (CP-60). Bought it 8 years ago, and it works extremely well. I have a big head, it fits. Different lenses for different needs (splinters to reading small things)

   I have used the same product for about 2 years now and am very pleased with its performance and durability. I seem to recall it was not too expensive.

   This is the one I use. I have the 1.5X mag and that seems to be enough but I'm tempated to try a few other low mags as well.

   How close do you want to work? I got a jewellery one for cheap on AliExpress it's been great. The light it has on it really helps.
